Description

Beaker vase (Yanyan Vase?). Hard-paste porcelain printed in iron-red, green, yellow, blue, black and grey enamels. Beaker vase with long, cylindrical neck and trumpet-shape mouth. Ovoid body and splayed base resting on an unglazed footrim with a recessed, flat, glazed base. Encircling the flared mouth is an iron-red and white border of ruyi heads and swirls above a green band. The neck is painted with flowers and foliage on an iron-red ground above a key pattern border. The oviform body has similar scrolling flowers and foliage. The splayed foot has a blue, yellow and green lappet border.
