Description

Lace-paper front cover of a valentine card with a design of two columns and an archway. An oval window at the centre is backed with silver-coloured silk onto which is written in blue ink: 'When far from thee / Oh think of me'. A collage of silver embossed foliage entwined with hand-coloured poppies and corn stalks and a silver tinsel pair of clasped hands. A chromolithographed scrap of Cupid holding a quiver of arrows is affixed above. The initials 'E' / 'B' handwritten in blue ink below the clasped hands.
