Valentine card
Publisher: Unknown
A hand-coloured woodcut on thin, white laid paper with an embossed border. A comic Valentine subject featuring a young woman seen from behind, playing at a harpsichord/organ. Her hooped skirts are gathered up around her waist, exposing her legs, frilly drawers and petticoats. A verse printed below: "When you shew off I'd have you mind, / If anyone should be behind, / Or possibly you'll hear a laugh, / As you shew off too much by half." Back paper missing. One of a series. See also P.14345-R-12 and P.14345-R-13.
