Valentine card

Comic valentine. A hand-coloured woodcut on thin wove paper which has been cut out and mounted onto white wove paper; the verso of the backpaper of P.14345-R-14. of a young woman sitting on the back of a donkey. A printed verse below: "I know you often love a ride / On heath or field or lane beside, / But if I were you I should not care / To make at me the people stare, / And hear them say with many a sneer, / A Donkey is her favourite Dear".
