Description

A hand-coloured woodcut on thin wove paper. A young gentleman wearing a purple coat rests against a tree. A young lady wearing a yellow dress and carrying a parasol behind and to the left and another man reading a letter behind and to the right. A printed verse below: "Cease, busy heart - can this be love? / Why don't the trembler rest? / Why does it throb as if a dove, / Where [sic] cag'd within my breast."
