Description

Comic valentine (salesman/tradesman type). A hand-coloured woodcut on very thin wove paper, which is folded in half to create an inside page (blank). The hand-colouring is crudely executed. A male figure with an excessively large head and huge nose wears a white apron and carries a basket in his right hand and an unidentified object in his left. A printed verse below: "An ugly sample of your trade, / Will not be found all England over, ...". From a series of comic figures.
