Valentine card
Publisher: Unknown
Moveable Valentine (part missing). A hand-coloured woodcut on white wove paper with an embossed border. The back paper is missing. An image showing the bottom half of a male figure wearing a nightgown surmounted by a brass candle snuffer. A cut in the paper between the figure and snuffer suggests that there was originally a moving part. A printed verse below: "Ah poor old Bachelor, alack, a day, / How can'st thou live in such a way / Im [sic] sure no pleasure there's in life / Without the blessings of a Wife. ..."
