Valentine card

Hand-coloured lithograph on wove paper with purple-coloured, scalloped edge and moveable flap revealing two babies inside a hatbox. A printed verse above and below: "In this bandbox you will find / Some things of yours, - treat them kind. / See to their little wants and ways / All their nights, and all their days." The recipient was a wife and mother, the sender presumably her husband.
