Valentine card

A hand-painted bouquet of flowers (passion flower, roses, violets, fushia, morning glory, honeysuckle) on 32mo-sized cream laid paper (folded in half). A hand-painted dedication composed of tiny flowers and leaves at lower centre: "To Mary". Inside, across the double page, is a hand-written verse in faded black ink, dedicated at upper centre: "To Mary / May every joy and every hope be thine / And ne'er a shade of doubt or gloom descend ...". The paper has been folded twice across the centre.
