Description

Postcard-style valentine with a gilt woodblock border design and inner bordered area at upper centre designed for a portrait. This space is occupied by a cut-out chromolithographed head and shoulders portrait of a young woman with pink roses in her hair. Printed below in purple ink: "Beautiful being, / ADORED OF MY HEART! / My bosom submits to thy will, / True, through all trials, wherever / thou art / My love will attend on / thee still".
