Valentine card

A small rectangular piece of thick card with a chromolithographed scene of boys wearing jockey outfits at a racecourse and watching horses racing in the background. One boy wears a horse's saddle on his head. A blank white wooden fence or signpost in the foreground was presumably intended for a printed message or verse. This card was probably designed for children. Although not marked with a maker's name, this card is almost identical to P.14349-R-31, which is marked as printed by G. Silbermann and which is mounted on the same album leaf.
