Etching with hand-colouring on one 4to-sheet of white wove paper. Central image within an oval etched frame of a lady wearing regency dress seated in an interior, a gentleman hiding underneath a table to her left and Hymen holding a flaming torch hovering above her. A church is seen through the window on the left. Etched verse (numbered stanzes) around the central image: "A youth no doubts by love inspired, / And of perplexing doubt quite tired, / Into a Chamber slily slid / And underneath a table hid, ...". Graphite inscription at upper left corner: "(1822)". From a series. See also P.14410-R-4, P.14410-R-36, P.14410-R-40 and P.14410-R-42.
