Description

4to-size white lace-paper with inner 'frame' of embossed lace with gold background and central hand-painted bouquet of flowers (pink rose, tulips, violets, morning glory). Hand-written verse in blue ink surrounding the inner 'frame': "I offer thee fairest and dearest / A treasure the richest I'm worth, / I offer thee love the sincerest / The warmest e'er glowed upon Earth". DOBBS BAI[LEY] stamped at lower centre. The inside pages are blank. See also P.14410-R-54, which is another Dobbs Bailey card with the same embossed inner 'frame' with gold background.
