PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Album with grey cloth covers and brown leaves. 'ALBUM' stamped in brown ink within an Art Nouveau-style (circa 1890-1918) medallion at the centre of the front cover. Printed on the front end paper: 'No. 134. / The "BEDFORD" Series / PHOTO SCRAP ALBUMS ... J.W. & Co. LTD. LONDON'. Graphite inscription at upper left corner of front end paper: "91". Small black sticker with printed gold lettering at lower right corner of front end paper: W. HEFFER & SONS LTD. / Booksellers (New & Second-hand) / CAMBRIDGE, England. One of 13 albums bound with grey cloth covers and brown Art Nouveau-style stamped title design. P.14411-R is slightly shorter than the others. CONTENTS: Contains decorative valentines and valentines with correspondence from the Actons of Brighton. There are also a few valentine designs by the lithographer, Edward Gilks, whose work Glaisher seems to have collected.
