Valentine card

Small 64mo-size playing-card-style comic valentine with a simple, embossed border. A die-cut, glazed chromolithograph affixed at the centre; a male figure with the oversized head of a shark and wearing a top hat and pink checked coat. A long, printed letterpress verse below: "Shark-like and greedy! alas its [sic] true: / Crabby and vicious, such, such, are you; ...". From a series and one of nine examples mounted onto the same album leaf. Two further loose duplicate cards from the series have been catalogued individually.
