Valentine card

Comic valentine. Coloured lithograph in black and orange inks on white wove paper. A caricature of a gentleman with a large, angular head with whiskers, tightly-waisted coat and stripy trousers. A verse printed below: 'Don't think yourself so vastly killing, / I don't believe you're worth a shilling; / And though your clothes are fine & smart, / Youre [sic] quite devoid of brains & heart.' The inside pages are blank. A graphite inscription on the album leaf: 1/= [1 shilling] may relate to an inscription found on the verso of P.14412-R-108.
