Description

Large, 12mo-size tinted lithograph in red ink on a single sheet of white wove paper. Comic valentine featuring a full-length caricature of a greengrocer with an enlarged head standing at his market stall holding a cabbage in his right hand and shouting his wares, speech printed at upper right: 'HERE'S TER / BLOOMING / CABBAGES'. The title printed below: 'TO A SMART YOUNG GREENGROCER / WITH PLENTY OF MOUTH'. One of a series of comic tinted lithographs in red ink. See also P.14412-R-112, which is mounted on the same leaf of the album.
