Valentine card
Publisher: Unknown
White lace-paper with six small panels within an overall design of entwining shoots and leaves and a central oval window with an embossed border, mounted onto blue paper which has been trimmed. At the centre is a hand-coloured lithograph on a buff-coloured octagonal card (the edges showing through the lace-paper) featuring two women, one wearing a grey dress and one wearing a pink dress and bonnet and carrying a basket of roses in her right hand. The lithograph is signed at lower left but the signature is obscured by the edge of the lace-paper.
