A hand-coloured lithograph on thin, white wove paper. A decorative, lithographed border in gold ink consists of acanthus scrolls and, at top left, Cupid aiming his arrow at the couple seen at the centre. A lithograph printed in sepia ink with hand colouring of a couple standing beside a shrine surmounted by a heart, the couple with raised arms holding cords tied to two doves hovering above. A verse is printed below in gold ink: 'Oh let our love be strong and pure, / That we may true delight secure; / Through life unchanging we may prove, / Still pure and constant in our love'.
