Tis Sweet To Love Valentine card

A small, rectangular white card in landscape orientation with embossed frame and lace-paper borders with a green slip paper behind. A central oval panel is printed in black ink with title and verse: 'TIS SWEET TO LOVE / 'Tis sweet to love - but sweeter still / To be beloved again; / But oh, how bitter is the thought / To Love - yet love in vain. / There's nought on earth, that can compare, / Howe'er severe the pain, / For pangs we feel by loving those / Who love us not again.'. P.14417-R-17 is mounted on the same album leaf and employs the same design but a different verse.
