Truly Thine Valentine card
Publisher: J.T. Wood & Co
A small gilt, lace-paper valentine (design of flowers, bows and flags) with a roundel of white silk at lower centre printed with a title and verse: 'TRULY THINE. / This little tribute which I / send, / I hope you will receive, / And keep it for the sake of / one / Who never will deceive.'. The interior is blank. 'WOOD' is stamped along the spine at centre left. The valentine is contained within a lace-paper envelope with four triangular flaps which are partially pasted in a 'open' position onto the album leaf. A hand-written inscription on the album leaf at lower left, 'Wood', transcribes the maker's stamp.
