Description

Imperial rectangular section baluster vase. Hard-paste porcelain painted in famille rose enamels and gilding. The vase has a rectangular shaped mouth and neck with fungus handles painted in blue. The shoulders taper to a rectangular foot with flat, recessed, glazed base. The sides are painted in mirror symmetry with lobed panels of children and landscapes surrounded by millefleurs. Two smaller quatrefoil panels painted in mirror symmetry with a child in landscape decorate the neck. The interior and base are turquoise glazed.
