Tortoise-shell with miniature of a spray of flowers on a marble slab
Tortoise-shell set with a miniature in bodycolour on card, mounted under glass in gold. The rectangular box has slightly concave sides and a pull-off lid; the interior and rim mounts are lined with gilt metal. The rectangular miniature depicts a spray of flowers, including roses, tulips, a delphinium and auricula, on a marble slab.
