Manju decorated with iris
Netsuke: manju decorated with iris. Black lacquer with gold. Circular manju in two sections, decorated in gold, brown and black lacquer. The roiro ground is embellished with two iris flower heads, buds and leaves in gold hiramakie and further leaves in brown and black lacquer with gold veins. The leaves trail over the edge of the cover and onto the base. The inside is undecorated on the roiro ground. It has a central himotoshi.
