Dancer holding a fan
Netsuke, katabori; dancer holding a fan. Wood, carved and decorated with coral red, black and gilding. Figure of a smiling dancer holding fan in his right hand. His kimono, which is lacquered in coral red and impressed with a recurring pattern of three dots, has slipped revealing his left shoulder. The fan is gilded. The himotoshi is at the back in the folds of his kimono and angular stole.
