Gama Sennin with his Toad
Netsuke: katabori: Gama Sennin with his Toad. Ivory, carved and stained. Figure of Gama Sennin, standing barefoot; his knees are slightly bent and he is smiling as he looks over his right shoulder whilst holding his toad on his left shoulder. He wears a cloak decorated with leaves, revealing his stomach. Both Gama Sennin and the toad have black inlaid eyes. The himotoshi is through the back of his cloak.
