Description

Netsuke: katabori: musician. Sandalwood, carved. Smiling figure of a musician, bending forward with his head tilted to one side. Under his left arm heholds a tsuzumi (drum) which he plays with his right hand. His flat hat is tied under his chin and the angular folds of his kimono are finely carved. The himotoshi is on the back of the kimono.
