Netsuke: manju. Wood, applied with gilding. A circular manju in two sections made of dark wood with a pronounced grain. The base is plain and has a central himotoshi. The cover is decorated in raised gilding with two geometric designs: a square with angled corners containing three rectangles of varying lengths in the centre, and a circle with three petals outlining the edge and overlapped by three petals joined at the centre.
