Hotei, a man and a bed roll
Netsuke: katabori: Hotei, a man and a bed roll. Wood, with ivory detail and black beading, carved. Hotei, with his enormous stomach, holding a fan in his right hand and grimacing with a wide open mouth as he is rolled up in a bed roll. A man lies on top of the bed roll clad in a robe with a large frill collar and a black bead on his head. The bedding is rolled round an ivory rod. Himotoshi through the bedding on the upper side.
