Description

Buff earthenware, thrown, coated with cream slip on the interior and upper part of the exterior, incised, and painted in copper-green under lead-glaze; lower part of the exterior and foot unglazed. Circular with sloping sides which curve inwards slightly towards the rim, standing on a footring. Decorated in the middle with a double circle enclosing two oval striped motifs coloured green, surrounded by an incised star or cross with four pointed arms, coloured green. Below the rim there are two incised horizontal bands, and round the outside of the rim there is a broad green band.
