Lithograph (uncoloured) on white wove paper. Inlaid within a frame of buff wove paper (approx. height 360mm x width 515mm). Lord Londonderry stands in the House of Lords, his right fist raised in defiance: "Is it to be endured I ask, that we / should be called _things!_ - things / with human pretensions?!"*'. Wellington, Wharncliffe and Aberdeen sit on the bench opposite. Brougham can be seen in his judge's wig in the background to the left. Signed with monogram at lower left: 'HB'. Title printed below the border: 'PEER = LESS ELOQUENCE. / *What was the Fishwoman's virtuous indignation at being called an _individual_ to this? - Nothing!'. The publisher's details printed below: 'Published by Thos McLean, 26, Haymarket, April 25th, 1831.'. Printer's details below the border at lower right: 'Printed by C. Motte'.
