Lithograph (uncoloured) on white wove paper. Inlaid within a frame of buff wove paper (approx. height 360mm x width 515mm). In the right foreground, Burdett (viewed from behind) takes off his hat to Wetherall who raises his hat in stiff politeness. Behind and to the left, Croker, Goulburn and Peel sit on the front Opposition bench in the House of Commons. Hunt stands behind them and says: 'When I abused the Bill and called it "Humbug I ask did / not Honble. Members below me laugh? ...'. Signed with monogram at lower left: 'HB'. Title printed below the border: 'POLITICAL SYMPTOMS / On a small Scale / In which remarkable instances of interesting naiveté and Edifying courtesy appear'. The publisher's details printed below: 'Published by Thos McLean, 26, Haymarket, Decr.12th 1831.'. A small, circular blind stamp at lower left: 'THOs. MCLEAN'.
