Viewed in profile, facing right, a short figure in a tail coat and top hat, the Portuguese diplomat, Domingos António de Sousa Coutinho, 1st Count Funchal, supporter of Queen Maria II of Portugal. Signed with monogram at lower left: 'HB'. Title printed below the border: 'AN ENVOY - EXTRA - ORDINARY.'. The publisher's details printed below centre: 'Published by Thos. McLean, 26, Haymarket, March 15th. 1833.'. A small, circular blind stamp at lower left: 'THOs. MCLEAN'. Printer's details given below publisher: 'A. Ducôté's Lithogy. 70, St. Martins Lane'.
