A silhouette portrait of Brougham as a sheep, facing left, standing on the woolsack with the mace and Purse of the Great Seal behind. Signed with monogram at lower left: 'HB'. Title printed below the border: 'A BLACK SHEEP.'. Below the title: 'Not Exhibited in the Zoological Gardens'. The publisher's details printed below the border to the left: 'Published by Thos. McLean, 26, Haymarket, Sepr. 12th 1833.'. A small, circular blind stamp at lower left: 'THOs. MCLEAN'. Printer's details below the border to the right: 'A. Ducôté's Lithogy. 70 St Martins Lane.'. Printed above the border at upper right: 'HB Sketches No 286'.
