Lithograph (uncoloured) on white wove paper. Inlaid within a frame of buff wove paper (approx. height 360mm x width 515mm). Lord Grey accosts Mr. Hodges, M.P. for the Western Division of Kent, mistaking him for a Doctor sent to revive Mr Martin, a member of the House of Commons, who has been taken ill and whose legs are seen through the doorway at the far right. Unsigned. Title printed below the border: 'A RECENT SCENE IN DOWNING STREET.'. The publisher's details printed below the border to the left: 'Published by Thos. McLean, 26, Haymarket, March 20th. 1834.'. Printer's details below the border to the right: 'A. Ducôté's Lithogy. 70, St Martins Lane'. Printed above the border at upper right: 'HB Sketches No 309'. P.14736-R is another impression.
