Two horses and riders; Mr. Spring Rice (as a horse), ridden by Lord Grey, is winning by a length. Sir Edward Sugden (as a horse) is ridden by the Duke of Wellington. Signed with artist's monogram at lower left: 'HB'. Title printed below the border: 'A PONEY RACE FOR A SADDLE (a Seat) / AT CAMBRIDGE.'. The publisher's details printed below the border to the left: 'Published by Thos. McLean, 26, Haymarket, June 18th, 1834.'. A small, circular blind stamp at lower left: 'THOs. MCLEAN'. Printer's details below the border to the right: 'A. Ducôté, Lithog. 70, St Martin's Lane'. Printed above the border at upper right: 'HB Sketches No. 326.'.
