Lord Brougham in his wig and gown stands before Lord Grey, who is seated, and offers him the 'Privy seal'. Signed with artist's monogram at lower left: 'HB'. Title printed below the border: 'GRATITUDE.'. The publisher's details printed below the border to the left: 'Published by Thos. McLean, 26, Haymarket, July 25th, 1834.'. A small, circular blind stamp at lower left: 'THOs. MCLEAN'. Printer's details below the border to the right: 'A. Ducôtés, Lithogy. 70, St Martin's Lane'. Printed above the border at upper right: 'HB Sketches No. 333.
