Lithograph (uncoloured) on white wove paper. Inlaid within a frame of buff wove paper (approx. height 360mm x width 515mm). Lord Grey is being pushed out of a doorway by Lord Brougham (in wig and gown), who says: "Good bye! we shall be inconsolable for your loss", and Lord Althorp, who says: "My dear - Noble friend! / I am so sorry that you are going!". Signed with artist's monogram at lower left: 'HB'. Title printed below the border: 'GRATITUDE.'. The publisher's details printed below the border to the left: 'Published by Thos. McLean, 26, Haymarket, August 4th, 1834.'. A small, circular blind stamp at lower left: 'THOs. MCLEAN'. Printer's details below the border to the right: 'A. Ducôtés Lithog. 70, St. Martin's Lane'. Printed above the border at upper right: 'HB Sketches No. 336.
