Description

Etching on heavy, textured laid paper. A full-length figure of an old peasant woman wearing a shawl around her shoulders, holding a stick and wearing clogs on her feet. Handwritten initials in brown ink at lower left: 'A.H.'. A hair or several bristles resting on the etching plate have created a white curling line that is visible in the dark, densely cross-hatched area to the left of the figure.
