Etching on paper. Portrait of an old woman known as 'Mrs Lagden', half-length, facing front and looking down and towards her right. She wears a mob cap and shawl. Within an oval. A proof before letters. Inscribed in graphite (unknown hand) in the margin below: 'Mrs Lagden Innkeeper Ty[s]on'. Mrs Emma Lagden (d. 1781) was the proprietress of the White Hart Inn at Bourn Bridge.
