Cotton, embroidered with polychrome woollen (?) threads in cross stitch.

9 1/2" x 9 1/2"

Within the narrow cross stitch border there is an upper case and lower case alphabet, each line separated by a narrow repeat band.
Neither name nor date. Probably late 19th century.
