A band sampler with a double upper case alphabet, single upper and lower case alphabets, numerals 1-14, decorative lettering, pairs of initials "M G, I G". Bands of small detached motifs and a lower panel of traditional detached motifs and a teapot or kettle.
The inscription reads "Don(e) by me Shusan UM in my 10 years of age 17?? July the 8" Shusan is an 18th century version of Susan.
