Edward VI

This medal is a coronation Medal of Edward VI. This is the first coronation medal executed in England and imitates in its Hebrew, Greek, and Latin inscriptions medals created for Henry VIII. However this medal omits the word "sub Christo" which were inserted by Henry to make acknowledgement of his supremacy of the church.

Inscription present: Half length figure of Edward VI facing right, crowned in armour, holding a sword and an orb.
Inscription present: Inscriptions in Hebrew and Greek same as the inscription on the obverse. However they are not correctly written.
