Synod of Dort Medal
Ruler: James I (1603-25)
This medal was presented to foreign attendees the Synod of Dort in 1619. The synod was held to consider the religious disputes that existed in Holland between the Armenians and the Gomarists.

Inscription present: The Council assembled in the Chamber of the Doel at Dort.
Inscription present: Rock surmounted by circular temple and attacked by the four winds : to the temple ascend pilgrims by pathway up the rock.
