Inscription present: A monument ornamented with the armorial shield of the kingdom, crowned, into which is an infant Genius inserts in the second quarter the arms of Scotland, alluding to the union of the two kingdoms. On left, another Genius points to a book which he holds, alluding to the king's fame as an author.
