Lilburne's Trial 1649

This medal was stuck on Lilburne's acquittal in 1649, when he accused of high treason for libelling Cromwell and Ireton.

Inscription present: Bust of John Lilburne, facing left, hair long and straight, in falling lace collar drapery round the bust.
Inscription present: A rose in the centre of concentric circles, on which are the names of his Jurymen.
