Note

Lynne MacLachlan (B. Paisley, 1980) followed a degree in aerospace engineering with post-graduate study in jewellery and metalwork at the Royal College of Art and the Open University. She is known for her experimental approach to digital tools and bespoke software, making 3D-printed nylon jewellery and sculptural objects which aim to ‘bring visual delight’ with ‘exuberant forms, vibrant colours and signature optical effects’. This bangle and a pair of earrings (M.2A & B-2019), the first pieces of 3D-printed jewellery in the Fitzwilliam’s growing collection of non-precious jewellery, were exhibited at the international craft and design fair, Collect, in 2019.
