Description

Stand, lacquer. Circular, standing on a trumpet-shaped foot. The black roiro ground (black lacquer polished to a deep gloss) is decorated in hiramakie (low-relief sprinkled design) in gold of two tone with scrolling paulownia branches, leaves, fruit and tendrils. Some of the leaves are in nashiji (shimmering spangles). The rim is gold. The roiro ground underside is undecorated.
