Description

St Pauls, Hammersmith, Church of England Schools, Order of Merit awarded to ‘RONALD P HOSMER 1932’, designed and engraved by J. Taylor Foot; struck silver, 44mm, in an original square machine-turned metallic case with a small engraved coat of arms. This medal was instituted in 1918 by John Taylor Foot (c.1839-1928), engraver of medal dies (see Forrer VII, p. 312) and churchwarden of St Paul’s Church, Hammersmith; it was awarded annually to the head boy and head girl at the school. Ronald Patrick Hosmer (1918-1967) was Mrs Morris’s father.
