For the corresponding pavan see no. 34 (p. 63).
Dubious ascription. Ascribed to ‘Ben Cosin’ in Cosyn’s virginal book (GB Lbl R.M. 23.l.4) and most probably by him.
Manuscript copyist (possibly Francis Tregian) in ink.
Editions: see the 'Fitzwilliam virginal book,' revised Dover edition, 1980, 1:177, and as '(Second) galliard to Dr Bull's Fantastic pavan' in 'Keyboard music from the Fitzwilliam' (London, 2017; Musica Britannica, volume 102, no. 27), but not in 'John Bull: keyboard music' 1st-3rd editions (London, 1960/2016; Musica Britannica volumes 14 & 19)
